Well, I was thinking that now, that i'm beginner, I should learn the main basic moves, and the names in japanese. i know, I'm not here since a long time, and the techniques we're learning are more useful, but I think It's time to learn these things also :)
greetings: Jorgosz
-- Yes that is why you are supposed to be training with Andras,
he is the helping the beginners. --

When anyone starts they learn kihon happo and ukemi and taihenjutsu, the basics of taijutsu, this section of training is taught by our yondan and this way I can focus on the advanced students. Remember Bujinkan is only 13 basics. Once you are taught these it is your goal to keep practicing with it!
VálaszTörlés10 years ago Dr. Hatsumi told us to FORGET techniques and focus on kihon happo and the PRICIPLES of Gyokko Ryu. This is exactly what we do.
Dr Hatsumi also made a comment that Bujinkan is NOT techniques but principles and FEELING, natural movements, and making the BAD GUY not understand, this is also exactly what we do. Dr Hatsumi also said that learning techniques and names WILL slow you down on real fight or real battle, that exactly what we dont do-)))
I will be very happy to show you a lot of techniques and Japanese words, but I think we should do as Dr Hatsumi said to do, after all he has 60 years training!
All the best!
The way we learn is good. The process is perfect. Dave's words are true. FEELING!
VálaszTörlésI would like to add something else. To learn the actual kihon happo techniques and their names is not difficult at all and you don't even need anyone for that - you can get a book and learn them from there. However, what is BEHIND these techniques is what's important and this is what Hatsumi has been trying to say - this is this feeling. And THIS is what we are learning in the trainings and THATS why I really like ninjutsu.
VálaszTörlésYour right Pavel, one important thing, you cannot POSSIBLY understand is the INSIDE FEELING from a book or video. In the past some have said going to Japan is not important, but the fact is that they do not understand anything, someone can read a book or a webpage and claim well Hatsumi does this or that but they do NOT understand the true feeling and what Sensei SAYS in the training there nor do they REALLY know anything about Japanese Martial Arts Culture.
VálaszTörlésThree types of training will teach people nothing.
1. Those who think THEY KNOW what has to be taught against what the grandmaster of 60 years says.
2. Those who focus on TECHNIQUES and not principles.
3. Those who refuse to open their mind and see things from 3 angles and not just on typical point of view and complain about others.
If you put all 3 of these together you come up with a picture of people with-
1. Ego
2. They have to be important
3. For the money
None of these will work.
This is an art to ENHANCE a persons life, not change them, it is about becoming better and NOT trying to be the BIG BOSS or the one with all the answers, no one has all the answers but they believe they do.
You see this all the time when people EGOS make them have to START A DOJO. Thats fine but as I said for more than 30 years, I am a student and always will be.
Now remember I allowed this blog for the purpose of students sharing their feelings about our trainings so the world can see the truth and not what others want them to believe,
I do NOT AGREE with forums and this type of low level slandering sites. so we will keep it as a way for the students to share the truth. This is not a blog of debate and/or slander this is NOT a reklam tool.
Some may try to use this to make trouble in which case there is a simple solution. They can go follow those who have all the answers.
This blog is NOT about making the TEACHER look good, it is about what we learn and the fun we have doing it.
If you remember I did not want to start a dojo here, others forced it upon me but since so many wanted it I kept going.
If it is SO BAD why do they always ask to come back?
Lets keep this blog for the purpose it was made for! The Shidoshis have every right to delete or NOT delete anything they feel is not correct IN THE PURPOSE of this blog!
Happy days and fun
hmm, now I understand :) thank you for everything :) I'll keep training hard :)
